My Opinion On The Bee's

I think that the book is a alright book because sometime it loses my attention and I would like more action in books I read and more adventure in it.

Who is the Queen Bee

I think Lily is the queen bee in the story because everything revolves around her. There was a time when she fainted they rushed to her. The women in the house was got her a lot of stuff but she helps them out too. She is different from the others beacuse she is white and they're black.

Honey Bees

1.Bees take care of there queen bee very good.
2.When a bee stings a larger animal there stinger stayes in that animal and the bee will split in half and die later.
3.The bees will still attack you until you are 100 feet or more away from the hive.

Honey House

1.It was a converted garage in the back corner in the yard painted the same hot-flamingo shade as the rest of the house.
2.My nostrils nearly drowned in the sent of sweetness.
3.Rain crashed on the thin roof.
4.Shelves that where covered with mason jars, pith helmets, tools, and wax candles.
5.A thin veneer of honey lay across everything.


Lily describes the honey house good. She gives alot of details about it to that where you could picture it in your head. She uses good words to describe things.

What Lily could of done

1.She could of bribed him with money she had.
2.She could of offered to help the cop around at his house the next day.

Nick

he plays basketball, likes to kick it with the home's, likes to spend time with his family, always says he's down, he likes listen to music.

She catches bees in a jar, she keeps all of her moms stuff berried underground, she like to site under the tree with all her moms stuff and stare at the sky, she says her mom would rather make a food trail for insects to go outside instead of killin them, she likes spending time with rosaleen.

happy, gets along with almost everyone, young, smart, helpfull

Sentence Combining

1.Little Rock is in the state of Arkansas that is in the south and was reltively progressive.
2.It was September 4, a crisis erupted, and the governor called out the National Guard to prevent the African American students from going to school at the Little Rock Central High School.
3.The Students haved been chosen to attend Central High because of their excellent grades.
4.It was the first day of school and only one student showed up beacuase she didn't receive a phone call bout the danger of going to school.
5.She was harassed by whites outside of the school the police had to take her away in a patrol car to protect her.
6.Afterwards there were 9 students that had to carpool at school they had to be escorted by military personnel that was in jeeps.

The Civil Rights Movement

The Civil Rights Movement was about the African Americans getting there right and it was during 1955 to 1968 and that's when black power came up and lasted between 1966 to 1975. The ones most active in the movement were most likely would be in NAACP, SNCC, CORE and SCLC. The people in the movement prefer the term "Southern Freedom Movement" because the struggle was about far more than just civil rights under law; it was also about fundamental issues of freedom, respect, dignity, and economic and social equality.
